The goal of these lectures is to acquaint students with the great variety of composite materials, their unique properties and the possibility to be applied in to the techniques, machine-building, chemical industry, car manufacturing and ship building, air industry, construction and so on.
The possibilities to be changed the properties of the matrix according to the type and amount of the reinforcing phase, how to control adhesion on the boundary layer and how to obtain chemical, thermodynamic and kinetic harmony are discussed.
Some kinds of composite materials, their applications and prospects to improve their properties are more detailed presented.
