It is study the basic types of nonmetal materials intended for using in the conditions of high temperatures in different thermal aggregates. The refractory materials may be molding and non-molding. The most of modern refractory isolation materials are composites, consisting of matrix, in which are reinforced different fibers. In the last years, have high interest to composites containing high-melting nonmetal ceramic materials as nitrides, carbides and borides.
