The main problems for engineers graduated in silicate technology are development and application of new materials. The scientific approach including profoundest tight temperature analysis is of a great importance.
The resent technology is impossible to developed successively without the knowledgments of structural phase and chemical transformations of different oxides salts, nitrates, carbides e.t. Some groups of problems, which describe a connection between the university fundamental education and concrete needs of scientific analyses of silicate technology are consistently disused in the course. The lectures are grouped as follows: Thermodynamics of silicates include the problems about the probability of chemical reactions, the stability of high temperature phases, heterogeneous equilibrium and equilibrium phase diagrams in technology processes and products synthesis control; kinetics and high temperature processes including crystallization and crystal growth theory and their applications in different technologies; Solid state chemical reactions mechanism and their application in technology.
